A fiber composed of island-sea with excellent fade resistance, comprises a component of island composed mainly of polyethylene terephthalate and a monofilament fineness 0.001-0.5 denier; and a component of sea consists of a polyester copolymer readily soluble in alkali. A fiber composed of island-sea with excellent fade resistance, comprises a component of island composed mainly of polyethylene terephthalate and a monofilament fineness 0.001-0.5 denier; and a component of sea consists of a polyester copolymer readily soluble in alkali. The component of island has a diol comonomer of structure HOCH2-CR1R2-CH2OH (I) and/or a comonomer diol of structural formula HOCH2-X-CH2OH (II) contained in it. R1 and R2 : alkyl group with 1-3C; and X : aliphatic ring with 5-8C. Independent claimsare: (1) a suede-like fabric, where some or all parts of the thread which constitute the fabric of are ultra-suede-like yarn with a monofilament fineness of 0.001-0.5 denier having a comonomer diol structural chemical formula (I) and/or a diol comonomer of Chemical Structural Formula (II) contained in polyethylene terephthalate as a main component; (2) a web of mixed type comprising the composite fiber island-sea with excellent color fastness; and (3) a marbled fabric type comprising the composite fiber island-sea with excellent color fastness.
