A gasket (1a) for the appliance with a door (2) and a box (5), for example a refrigerator, comprising a fastener (10a) for fixing the gasket (1a) to the door (2), and a bellows type section (8) capable of forming a seal between the door (2) and the housing (5) of the appliance. The fastener (10a) comprises a part (24) of the fastener that is positioned in a groove (6) of the door (2), and a fixing means (21) for fixing the fastener (10a) to the bellows section (8). The fastener part (24) comprises two resiliently detachable and independent legs (25, 26) that are resiliently fixed to the end of the fixing means (21) and turn round on themselves at the other end. In use, the parts fit the groove (6) of the door (2) to keep the gasket (1a) in position in the door (2).
