The brake has a brake unit e.g. drum brake, a guiding unit (8), and a cable (1) with an enlarged cable end (3). A pulling equipment (4) is arranged in a housing (11) for actuation of the cable, where the pulling equipment is operated by an actuator e.g. electric motor. The actuator is activated through a signal from a vehicle interior by an actuation device e.g. switch or button. The guiding unit is arranged inside of the housing to guide the cable during mounting of the cable to fasten into the pulling equipment. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a cable connected with a brake unit of a hand brake to a pulling equipment.
