The detector has a laser line that is a diode laser spot with a conventional lens that spreads the light plane at an angle to produce a mark. The images of the scene are taken by a vision sensor, which finds the 3-D point position marked by a conventional method of triangulation. A precision robotic manipulator is also provided to perform the desired task as collecting, transplantation.
