A process is characterised in that the incinerationgrate is tempered by a medium that flows therethrough. Thegrate consists of a number of hollow plates made of sheetmetal. Each plate lies on the next underlying plate. Aconnection pipe is arranged on one side of each plate and adischarge pipe is arranged on the other side of each platefor the flowing medium. In addition, the individual platesare crossed by a plurality of tubular elements which open onthe top side of the plates. Primary air is supplied to thematerials to be incinerated through said tubular elements.Primary air supply is individually dosed to each tubularelement.
