A microstrip antenna may include an electrically conductive ground planelayer, a dielectric layer adjacent the electrically conductive ground planelayer, and anelectrically conductive patch layer adjacent the dielectric layer on a sidethereof oppositethe electrically conducive ground plane layer. The electrically conductivepatch layer maybe electrically floating with respect to the electrically conductive groundplane layer andmay comprise a body portion and a feed strip extending outwardly from aninterior medialportion of the body portion. The feed strip may have opposing first and secondsides andan end electrically connected to the body portion. The body portion may havespaced apartfirst and second slots adjacent respective ones of the first and secondopposite sides of thefeed strip, and a third slot adjacent the end of the feed strip and spacedfrom the first andsecond slots.
