The computer-implemented method involves acquiring one or more variables of a patient (S1) and determining a trend of the patient (S2). A corresponding trend is determined over values within the given time interval (S3). A set of weighted functions and a set of medical variables are provided. The set of weighted functions are applied to one or more values of the patient or to a trend of the patient. One of the weighted function is applied to a value corresponding to a connected variable and to a trend corresponding to the one associated variable (S4).
