This invention provides a fluoride single crystal, which is also usable for a high-output eye-safe laser, and a high-output laser oscillator using the single crystal. The single crystal of TmxHoyLiLn(1-x-y)F4 is characterized in that Ln represents Y or Lu or a combination of Y and Lu, x and y satisfy a relationship requirement represented by formula 0.7x ≤ y ≤ 2x, and x satisfies a relationship requirement represented by formula 0.01 ≤ x ≤ 0.1.
