On each side of vehicle, anterior fixed points (31d, 31g) secure posterior end sections of corresponding extended rails (60d, 60g) to transversal structure (50) and to suspension A-arms (30d, 30g). Transversal structure includes central crosspiece (51), and, on either side of crosspiece, hollow cradle side rails (52d, 52g), each consisting of upper and lower shells.
