The invention relates to railway transport. The inventive closing device comprises a body connectable to a water-supply pipe, a valve connected to a float and a unit for signalling the end of a tank water filling process. The inventive device is characterised in that it uses a cylinder (barrel) which is connected to the float in such a way that it makes it possible to gradually close the openings embodied in the body. The valve is located in such a way that it is displaceable between support and thrust seats and the hollow rod thereof is used for communicating a cavity coupled with a signalling system to an under-valve cavity.
