An Ethernet receiving and sending device and an Ethernet transmitting method are disclosed. The receiving and sending device detects the level amplitude of the received analog signal, and adjusts the coefficient of amplifying self-adapting according to the result of the detecting so as to make the output level amplitude of the received analog signal amplified be same and be sent to the MAC level of the Ethernet after AD convening and coding and decoding process. And the signal level sent to the coaxial network is amplified and output, the coefficient of amplification is determined by the largest attenuation loss among the coaxial terminals. The receiving and sending device realizes the intercommunication between the access point of the Ethernet and each coaxial terminal and the intercommunication of each coaxial terminal, and thus makes the CSMA/CD MAC layer of the Ethernet can be used in Broadcasting Coaxial Networks environment.
