It is intended to provide a pest-controlling composition for plant seeds, which is effective on multiple pathogenic microorganisms and insects while showing little toxicity to mammals and fishes when applied to plant seeds, and a method of preventing pest damages by using the same. The above-described composition contains, as the active ingredient serving as an insecticidal compound, at least one antimicrobial compound selected from among ethofenprox, fulsulfamide, himexazol, simeconazol and pentiopyrad.
