The invention relates to a method for recording at least one geometrical characteristic in two sets of homologous points (Pm1,Pd1) on two lenses (10,20), one being measured and the other calculated, on a single pair of spectacles, of which one set of points belongs to the measured lens and the other set of points to the calculated lens comprising the steps: a) scanning the measured lens to record at least one geometric characteristic for the points in the set of measured points, b) calculate the at least one geometric characteristic at the points of the set of calculated points from at least said at least one geometric characteristic scanned on the measured lens and an optical or surface strength of at least the calculated lens.
