The invention relates to a device (10) for the nondestructive determination of the size of an ultrasound-reflecting structure (90) in the volume of a test sample (100) by means of ultrasound. The device (10) is based on the use of a first and a second ultrasound transmitter (15, 15') which are spaced apart in the X direction and which are oriented to beam a directed first ultrasound pulse P1 and a directed second ultrasound pulse P2 into the test sample.
