Device for the generation of microwave radiation, and method for testing vulnerability to high-energy radiations

The device has a wave guide (1) for guiding hyper frequency radiation and equipped with internal conductive plates (2) extended longitudinally. The wave guide is formed by assembling two U-shaped semi wave guides. A distance between the plates is less than half wavelength of high frequency of a given frequency band, in which hyper frequency radiation is emitted. The conductive plates comprise an opening for forming a free space (5) to receive an operating material (31), where the opening is equal to half of an internal width (L) of the wave guide. An independent claim is also included for a method for testing vulnerability of an operating material to hyper frequency radiation.
