The method involves imaging a system e.g. layer changing memory (1), in a model, and measuring a measurable charging condition e.g. measurable charging condition of a fluid provided in the layer changing memory. A non measurable condition of the system is determined based on the model and the measured measurable condition. The determination of the non measurable condition is effected by using an estimation procedure, in which a scanner- or filter procedure is used. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program with a program code for executing a method for determining a non measurable condition of a system (2) a computer program product with a program code, which is stored on a computer-readable data medium, to execute a method for determining a non measurable condition of a system (3) a layer charging memory device with a memory cell.
