Method for transmission of multimedia products and at least a multimedia unit and method for processing of these multimedia products

The method involves seeking for marker values appearing in a diffusion broadcasting program map table (PMT) received by a multi-media unit, and searching for the corresponding marker values in a correspondence table matching with the marker values and a real type of data e.g. audio, video or teletext. The broadcasting table is modified by replacing an indication of a proprietary data type of the broadcasting table by the real data type corresponding to the correspondence table. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for processing a multimedia product stored in the form of digital data in a multimedia unit (2) a multimedia unit to store a multimedia product.
