The method involves providing an interface (2) visible on a screen of a client terminal to a client (1), where the interface is arranged for selecting privacy criteria e.g. music, relative to accessible services e.g. video services. The selected privacy criteria is mapped with preset privacy rules provided from data bases (5, 6) to obtain parameters (4) for establishing a profile that is conformed to desire of the client. The client selects the criteria for privacy by ticking options proposed by the interface according to the accessible service. An independent claim is also included for an application for configuring parameters for establishing a profile of a customer of a telecommunications service platform.
