A method for compensating image distortion in a 3D monitor is provided to reduce distortion of an image, by grasping accurate alignment error and inhomogeneous property. According to a method for compensating image distortion by detecting an alignment error of an inhomogeneous lens and reflecting the position of a user in a 3D monitor, a mapping table showing relation between N original view images and multi-view images is made. A mapping table detecting wrong alignment error or inhomogeneous property of a lens in the 3D monitor is made.
