APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANAGING ONTOLOGY CONTEXT BASED ON KNOWLEDGE IN UBIQUITOUS

A device and a method for managing ontology context based on knowledge in a ubiquitous environment are provided to process provision of time, space, peripherals, and services, service collision/security with other users, and verification of a policy level easily by storing/managing various information expressing each user, device, service, time, space, and policy as a class type. An ontology(11) stores the various information expressing each user, device, service, time, space, and policy in the class type related to each other. A loader(12) loads the context stored to the ontology in the class type. A parser(13) checks a relational, grammar, and contextual error among classes by parsing the loaded context. An ontology handler(14) adds, deletes, and searches the context from the ontology in the class type by considering relation with other classes. The ontology interconnects spatial information of the user, available peripherals, current time, service collision/priority with other users, security level information, provision of various services, and a service list as a series of data.
