A muffler of an air conditioning system for vehicles and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to expand pipes of two split bodies and combine the expanded split bodies to manufacture the muffle simply while reducing time required for manufacturing and reducing production cost. A muffler is installed between a first split pipe and a second split pipe of a refrigerant pipe connecting a compressor with an evaporator, the compressor with a condenser. A first cylindrical split body(20) has an expanded pipe part(24) formed at an end of the first split pipe. A second cylindrical split body(30) has an expanded pipe part(34) formed at an end of the second split pipe. A combining element(40) combines the expanded pipe part of the first split body with the expanded pipe part of the second split body. A hermetic sealing element seals the combined expanded pipe part of the first split body and expanded pipe part of the second split body hermetically.
