An automatic water supply and drainage system applied to an indoor water using appliance such as a water cleaning type air purifier is provided to prevent breakdown of a sensor or a valve due to various impurities and alien substances, enable the indoor water using appliance to be used safely, and allow non-contaminated clean water to be used consistently. A safety device of an automatic water supply and drainage system for an indoor water using appliance is characterized in that: at least two ordinarily closed solenoid valves connected to a water supply pipe of a water supply system(50) in series to enable the supply of water to be controlled by closing the other solenoid valve even when one solenoid valve is not closed; the water supply system includes a water supply pipe(51) connecting a water pipe(100) to a water storage tank(41), a first solenoid valve(52) and a second solenoid valve(53) connected to each other in series to control electrically opening and closing of the water supply pipe, a ball tap(54) having an inlet in the water storage tank of the water supply pipe, and a water level sensor(55) for measuring upper and lower limit lines of a water level to obtain information on the water level required for controlling the first and second solenoid valves; and the water level sensor is installed in such a structure that one end of a rod connected to a buoy is fixed to a base by a hinge, and limit switches are installed on upper and lower end portions of the hinge.
