EXTRACTS OF SOY HYPOCOTYL WITH EFFECTS ON SKIN WHITENING AND COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE SAME

A composition comprising the extract of soybean embryo is provided to inhibit biosynthesis of melanin pigment by inhibiting activity of tyrosinase in melanocytes without side effects, and reduce the production costs by eliminating a process for removing toxicity from raw materials, so that it is useful for whitening the skin. A composition for whitening the skin comprises 0.01-10 wt.% of the extract of soybean embryo which is prepared by extracting soybean embryo with a solvent selected from water, acetone, ethanol and methanol and contains 20-80% of the solvent, and is a cosmetic or food composition.
