A system for calling an elevator from respective households in apartment and a method thereof are provided to improve convenience by enabling a user to call an elevator using an exclusive calling button installed in a living room when the user goes out. A system for calling an elevator from respective households comprises: a calling button(12) installed by the side of a door of an elevator(11) and an exclusive calling button(21) installed in respective living rooms(14) of households(15), which calls the elevator. The exclusive calling button is connected with the calling button with a circuit of a four-way switch.
