IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL STAINING METHOD USING GOLD-CONJUGATED SECONDARY ANTIBODY

An immunohistochemical staining method is provided to identify simply and rapidly the presence of antigen in the tissue or a specimen without enzyme action or amplification, visually quantify the antigen by using a gold-conjugated secondary antibody, and obtain clean staining results by inhibiting background staining due to enzyme activity. An immunohistochemical staining method comprises the steps of: preparing the tissue or a specimen containing an antigen; reacting the tissue or specimen with a first antibody against the antigen and washing it; and reacting the tissue or specimen with a gold-conjugated secondary antibody against the first antibody and identifying the developed color, wherein the gold-conjugated secondary antibody is an antibody against an immunoglobulin of an animal producing the first antibody and is prepared by conjugating gold colloid with an immunoglobulin of an animal which is obtained by using an immunoglobulin of another animal producing the first antibody as an antigen; and the animal is rabbit, sheep or mouse.
