A method for extracting indole alkaloid compound having anticancer effects from Actinomyces sp. is provided to treat cancer, especially breast cancer and lung cancer by inhibiting growth of cancer cells and inducing apoptosis of cancer cells. A method for extracting indole alkaloid compound having anticancer effects, represented by the formula(1) from Actinomyces sp. comprises the steps of: culturing Actinomyces sp. belonging to Streptomyces sp. in modified Bennett medium; centrifuging the cultured medium to separate the supernatant; extracting the supernatant with EtOAc; evaporating and drying the crude extract to obtain the concentrate; fractionating the concentrate to chromatography; evaporating and drying a fraction under reduced pressure, and filtering the dried fraction to obtain the concentrate without insoluble materials; and subjecting the concentrate to C18 reversed-phase HPLC(high performance liquid chromatography), wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl, isobutyl, halogen atom, hydroxide group or carboxyl group. Further, the R1 is Cl, and the R2, R3 and R4 are each independently H.
