METHOD FOR FAST FORWARD PLAYING ON VIDEO RECORD PLAYER AND VIDEO RECORD PLAYER THEROF

A video record player and a fast forward play method thereof are provided to reproduce a corresponding sound signal normally during fast forward play. A video record player comprises storage mediums(10) storing recorded substances, user interface parts(12), a control part, de-multiplexers(13), an image reproducing part, buffers(15), and a sound reproducing part. The user interface parts provide an image signal of the recorded substances selected by a user and reproducing speed signals of the sound signal. The control part provides a reproducing control signal for reproducing the image signal and the sound signal according to the reproducing speed signals at each corresponding speed. The de-multiplexers separately outputs the recorded substances stored in the storage medium into the image signal and the sound signal in response to the reproducing control signal. The image reproducing part displays the separated image signal on a screen in response to the reproducing control signal. The buffers sequentially store every predetermined number of frames of the separated sound signal according to the reproducing speed of the selected sound signal. The sound reproducing part decodes at least portion of the frames stored on the buffer at normal speed in response to the reproducing control signal and outputs them as sound.
