METHOD FOR FAST FORWARD PLAYING ON VIDEO RECORD PLAYER AND VIDEO RECORD PLAYER THEROF

A video reproducing device and a fast reproducing method using the same are provided to allow users to hear original sound regardless of the reproducing speed by compensating for the frequency of sound signal. A video reproducing device comprises a storage medium(9), a user interface unit(11), a control unit(10), a de-multiplexer(13), an image reproducing unit(23), a sound reproducing unit(24), and a memory unit(12). The user interface unit supplies reproducing speed signal of the video set by a user. The control unit supplies reproducing control signal to reproduce the image signal and the sound signal at the same speed according to set reproducing speed. The de-multiplexer separately outputs the image signal and the sound signal of the video according to the reproducing control signal. The image reproducing unit displays the separated image signal by decoding at the set reproducing speed. The sound reproducing unit decodes the separated sound signal at the set reproducing speed, and regulates tone of the sound signal and outputs it through a speaker. The memory unit stores tone control data corresponding to the set reproducing speed.
