PROCESSING METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR MAKING ALUMINUM ALLOY FROM ALUMINUM SCRAP

A method and an apparatus for manufacturing an aluminum alloy by using aluminum scrap are provided to manufacture an aluminum alloy efficiently by using low grade scrap together with process scrap, aluminum chips, and the like. An apparatus for manufacturing an aluminum alloy by using aluminum scrap comprises: low grade scrap sorting equipment including a first crusher, a magnetic separator, a second crusher, and an eddy current separator; melting equipment including a principal melting furnace(21) of a twin chamber structure divided into an ingot melting furnace(21A) and a scrap melting furnace(21B) by a partition wall, a chip melting furnace(22) of which both sides are connected to the ingot melting furnace and the scrap melting furnace by channels, and an induction heating furnace(23); and alloying equipment(30) including a holding furnace(31), and an overflow channel(32) for connecting an upper portion of the principal melting furnace and an upper portion of the holding furnace. The apparatus further comprises a ceramic filter(F) installed in the overflow channel of the alloying equipment.
