摘要

A buckwheat extract exhibiting antibacterial effect and inhibiting urease activity of helicobacter pylori is provided to overcome disadvantage and drawbacks due to disinfection and to inhibit the formation of ammonia generated by urease activity in livestock excrement or urine. The buckwheat extract can be used for treatment and prevention of stomach-related disease and illnesses such as stomach cancer, peptic ulcer disease, gastritis and the like. A natural urease inhibitor contains a buckwheat extract having an effect of inhibiting urease activity of helicobacter pylori. The buckwheat extract contains 30 to 50% by weight of oligomeric polyphenol. The reaction shows a hydrolytic action of urea by the medium of urease.
