DISTANCE ESTIMATION METHOD BETWEEN TWO SENSOR NODES USING ROUND TRIP TIME DELAY

A distance estimation method between two sensor nodes using a round trip time delay is provided to measure correctly an internal delay by measuring the physical distance between the sensor nodes. An installation process is performed to install a first reference node adjacently to a mobile node(N2). A first transmission process is performed to transmit packets from a reference node(N1) to the mobile node and the first reference node, respectively. A second transmission process is performed to transmit a response signal from the mobile node to the reference node and the first reference node in response to the received packets. A calculation process is performed to remove an internal delay of the mobile node and to obtain a delay with respect to a physical distance by calculating a radio wave reception time difference of the first reference node between the reference mode and the mobile node.
