NAVIGATION DEVICE FOR TRCKI VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR ROUTE PLANNING USING THE SAME

A navigation device for a large vehicle and a route search and guide method thereof are provided to allow a driver to check only roads which are actually available to large vehicles. A navigation device for a large vehicle includes a search unit(20), an information extractor(22), and a controller(30). The search unit searches a route to a destination. The information extractor extracts roads only for large vehicles by referencing entire road information. The controller controls the navigation to perform road guidance by selecting one of the extracted roads for preventing the large vehicle from taking a wrong road.
