A mixed extract containing Perilla frutescens extract and plum juice is provided to manufacture a functional drink helping to lower cholesterol content in blood. A functional drink helping to lower cholesterol content in blood contains 50% by weight of Perilla frutescens extract and 50% by weight of plum juice. The Perilla frutescens extract is obtained by freeze-drying at low temperature, grinding, blanching in water of more than 100deg.C for 3min and extracting with ultrasonic waves for 30min. The plum juice is obtained by squeezing and filtering plums, adding 1.5L distilled water to 5.0L Prunus juice to 30% concentration and centrifuging.
