A broadcasting program reservation and recording method based on a server and a system therefor are provided to allow a user to record a desired broadcasting program although the user directly has broadcasting recording equipment. A recording and reservation application unit(101) receives the recording application of a certain broadcasting program from a connected user. A recording unit(102) records the broadcasting program for which the user applies. A storing unit(103) stores the recorded broadcasting program. When the transmission of the recorded broadcasting program is requested from the user who applies for the recording of the broadcasting program, a transmitting unit(104) transmits the recorded broadcasting program to a terminal of the user.
