A system and a method for operating/managing rental of an Internet shopping mall are provided to enable a site operator to effectively process settlement by processing the settlement based on space information of the information shopping mall as well as an ID issued to sellers of the Internet shopping mall and enable the sellers to make profit by enabling the sellers to rent out an Internet shopping mall again. A site operator(100) constructs a shopping mall site(400) including a plurality of Internet shops, manages the space information of each Internet shop and sales information of goods sold in each Internet shop, and processes the settlement based on the space and sales information. A plurality of sellers rent the Internet shop of the site operator and sells the good displayed in the Internet shop. A plurality of customers(300-1~300-n) buy the goods displayed in each Internet shop by connecting to the shopping mall site. The site operator includes a shopping mall construction server, a shopping mall management server, a settlement processing server, and a database.
