METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING CONNECTION ADMISSION BASED ON RESOURCE ASSIGNMENT OF WIRE AND WIRELESS NETWORK

A method and an apparatus for controlling connection admission based on the resource assignment of a wired or wireless network are provided to determine connection admission by estimating the probability of a service quality change chance varied by a change of the characteristic of competitive traffic on the transfer network of the wired or wireless network, thereby transferring the traffic using optimally network resources without influence on the service quality of existing serving traffic. A method for controlling connection admission based on the resource assignment of a wired or wireless network comprises the following steps of: estimating the probability of a service quality change chance for the characteristic of existing flows when the connection setting of a new flow is required(502,503); comparing connection probability on an output link with the estimation probability of estimating the service quality change chance(505); and admitting the connection setting of the new flow when the estimation probability is less than the connection probability(506).
