METHOD FOR PREPROCESSING FOR COLORING OF BLACK AND WHITE COMICS

A preprocessing method for coloring of black and white comics is provided to scan a paper book original image of the black and white comics and convert the scanned image into an easily-colored image by removing a screen tone of the scanned image, thereby efficiently performing the coloring work. A preprocessing method for coloring of black and white comics comprises the following steps of: sensing a screen tone area of a black and white comic image(203); forming a special layer only with contour of the sensed screen tone area(206); removing the sensed screen tone from an original image; providing a tool capable of performing coloring on the original image where the screen tone is removed(209); providing a tool capable of performing coloring on the screen tone layer(212); and synthesizing the colored original image with the colored screen tone layer(215).
