Method for Controlling Head of Scriber Using Scaler And Scriber Using The Same

A method for controlling a scriber head by using a scaler and a scriber using the same are provided to precisely detect a position of a scriber head on a glass substrate for forming precise and uniform scribe lines according to deformation of the glass substrate by using a scaler. A scriber includes a head(50), a lifting element for lifting the head, a pressing element such as a voice coil motor(52) having a coil(52a) mounted to the head, a scribe element mounted to a driving part(52b) of the voice coil motor, a displacement measuring element such as a linear scaler(56) for measuring displacement of the driving part of the voice coil motor, and a control part(75) for controlling the lifting element and the voice coil motor and reading the displacement amount from the scaler for precisely recognizing a position of a glass substrate. A guide(54) is mounted between the driving part and the coil for preventing horizontal shaking of the driving part. The head has a stopper(51) for limiting the movement of the driving part.
