METHOD FOR CALCULATING PROPAGATION LOSS USING EFFECTIVE TERRAIN ELEVATION PROFILE EXTRACTION IN WIRELESS NETWORK DESIGN

A propagation loss calculation method using efficient terrain profile extraction in wireless network design is provided to reduce the performance time of a 'Terrain profile extraction process' remarkably, thereby tremendously shortening the performance time of an overall calculation process. A location of a base station which demands propagation loss prediction and a propagation loss predictive analysis radius based on the base station are inputted(300). If a terrain profile for one grating which becomes a propagation loss calculation target is extracted, propagation loss is calculated by using the terrain profile even for all gratings existing on a straight path between base stations and the target grating(301,30).
