THE COMPACTED NC LATHE

摘要

A bench type NC lathe is provided to improve energy efficiency and to move a spindle and a tool more accurately without friction by installing a linear motor operated by electromagnetic force and an air bearing supporting a spindle table and a tool table. A bench type NC lathe comprises the followings: a base(12) with a handle(14) at both sides for transporting; a spindle body(20) including a spindle(22) inside operated by a spindle motor(21), and a chuck(24) clamping a workpiece; a tool holder(60) installed opposite to the chuck, to hold a tool; a spindle table(30) installed under the spindle body to be moved in a longitudinal direction, including a side wall at both lower sides; a tool table(50) installed under the tool holder to be moved in a cross direction, including a side wall(51) at both lower sides; a spindle table guide(35) fixed to the base and connected to the spindle table to guide linear motion of the spindle table; a tool table guide(55) fixed to the base and connected to the tool table to guide linear motion of the tool table; a spindle table moving unit and a tool table moving unit including a core wound with a coil and a permanent magnet to move each table by magnetic force; and a spindle air bearing unit and a tool air bearing unit including multiple air pads to move each table on each table guide without friction.
