Antifungal agent containing rice peroxisomal receptor protein as active ingredient

An agent comprising a rice peroxisomal receptor protein(OsPex5pL) is provided to show excellent antifungal activity on plant pathogenic fungus such as Candida albicans, Fusarium oxysporum, Botrytis cinerea and Didymella bryoniae. An antifungal agent comprises an OsPex5pL described as SEQ ID : NO. 1 or a fragment thereof described as SEQ ID : NO. 2 as an effective ingredient and is effective for pathogenic fungus selected from the group consisting of Candida albicans, Fusarium oxysporum, Botrytis cinerea and Didymella bryoniae. The antifungal agent is prepared by dissolving an additive selected from the group consisting of a stabilizer, a surfactant, a preservative, and a pH adjusting agent with the OsPex5pL in water or an aqueous organic solvent. Further, an effective component concentration of the antifungal agent is 0.01 to 100 mM.
