An automatic tooth movement measuring method is provided to measure a movement state of tooth before and after orthodontics quantitatively and qualitatively by digitizing a three-D digital model of the tooth on a space. An automatic tooth movement measuring method comprises the steps of: forming three-D models of maxilla and mandible on a first point and a second point(S101); three-D scanning on the first and second points in an occlusion state of the maxilla and mandible(S102); forming three-D model of the occlusion state of the maxilla and mandible in the first and second points(S103); establishing three-D coordinates on the maxillary model of the first point(S104); overlapping the maxillary model of the second point on the maxillary model of the first point(S105); measuring a movement amount of the maxilla(S106); using the three-D coordinates of the maxillary model as coordinates of the mandible model(S107); and measuring SDMM(skeletodentoalveolar movement of mandible)(S108).
