A method for preparing manganese oxides having colossal magnetoresistance is provided to produce the manganese oxide at relatively low temperature and to collect powder in a simple manner. A method for preparing manganese oxides of perovskite structure having colossal magnetoresistance includes the steps of: (1) mixing La2O3(0.0035 mol), CaCO3(0.03 mol) or SrCO3(0.03 mol), and Mn2O3(0.010 mol); (2) dissolving the mixture in nitric acid to prepare La(NO3)3, Ca(NO3)2 or Sr(NO3)2, and Mn(NO3)3; (3) dissolving the resultant of the step (2) in distilled water to obtain a homogeneous solution; (4) adjusting pH of the resultant of the step (3) using KOH; (5) heating the solution of the step (4) to 700 °C in an electric furnace for 24 hours, or to 275 °C in an autoclave for 24 hours; and (6) washing the resultant of the step (5) with distilled water or ethanol several times, and drying the washed resultant. Further, the method for preparing the manganese oxides of perovskite structure having colossal magnetoresistance additionally includes a step of XRD analysis is performed.
