FIELD: the invention refers to the technology of machine building namely to the modes of surface plastic deformation of spherical surfaces of ball pins.;SUBSTANCE: they give rotating movement to the blank relatively to its longitudinal axis and provide impact with tension on the blank with the deforming instrument. The deforming instrument is used in the shape of a bushing with a longitudinal pass of the part of the blank of the ball pin conjugated with its spherical surface. The working inner surface of the bushing is fulfilled in the shape of a truncated cone under an angle of &phis;= 3...5^o and connected with the cylindrical calibrating part of the last. At that feeding movement is given to the mentioned bushing firmly fixed in the chuck of the machine in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the blank. The placing of the blank in the bushing is provided from the side of the larger part of the foundation of the truncated cone and the exit of the processed blank from the side of its cylindrical calibrating part.;EFFECT: increases efficiency, quality and accuracy of processing of ball pins.
