ENDOSCOPIC DIAGNOSIS METHOD FOR DETERMINING VARIOUS DUODENUM FORMS

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out endoscopic examination. When examining U- and C-shaped duodenum forms, distal endoscope segment is bent towards posteromedial wall of distal duodenal cap portion. Next to it, the endoscope is clockwise rotated by 90°, then, counterclockwise rotation is done with slight forward movement. When examining duodenum having acute angle of upper curvature, the endoscope is clockwise rotated by 60° and pulled on to oneself, rotated counterclockwise transforming right angle to obtuse one. Ring-shaped or V-shaped duodenum being examined, the endoscope is introduced into its descending portion from the duodenal cap making translational forward movements.;EFFECT: improved techniques in performing duodenoscopy on duodena of various shapes.;4 dwg
