METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF FORM OF CHRONIC DUODENAL OBSTRUCTION

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method for differential diagnosis of form of chronic duodenal obstruction includes determination of content of cholic acid in three samples of gastric juice of patient. Samples of gastric juice are taken successively: the first sample is aspirated on empty stomach; the second sample is taken is 15 min after standard food load; the third sample is taken after intramuscular injection of 0.1% solution of histamine dihydrochloride in dose corresponding to 0.24 mg per kilogram of patient's weight. Then, values of cholic acid in three samples are compared, and if this vale is increased in the third sample in comparison with that in samples 1 and 2, mechanical decompensated form of obstruction is diagnosticated, and if value of cholic acid reduces in the third sample, as compared with that of the second sample, compensated and subcompensated forms of chronic duodenal obstruction is diagnosticated.
