EXPANSION JOINT FOR PIPELINE, EXPANSION JOINT STOP AND METHOD OF MOUNTING OF EXPANSION JOINT

FIELD: piping system; expansion joints.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to building and operation pipelines. Proposed expansion joint has straight pipe and pipe with bell, butt joined with clearances by fixed bell-and-stop joint with sealing collar. Use is made of heat insulated pipes of high strength cast iron with globular graphite. Size of clearance is from 10 to 15 mm, and width of machined surface of straight pipe is not less than 85 mm. Ring-shaped stop member is secured on surface of straight pipe. Stop of expansion joint consists at least of two members composing in assembly a part of ring whose inner diameter is equal to outer diameter of straight pipe. Said members are provided with bosses or holes and parts of common ring slot. Stop contains additionally an expansion member.
