METHOD OF FUNCTIONAL MUSCULAR CHANGE EVALUATION ASSOCIATED WITH PELVIC LIMB INJURIES AND DISEASES

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: muscle thickness and area is scanned with computed tomography. Morphofunctional change index (MCI) is evaluated. Degree of muscular atrophy and dystrophy is detected by value of MCI. Offered method provides quantitative assessment of morphofunctional muscular change, namely degree of prevailing hypotrophic or dystrophic muscular changes by means of direct examination of concerned area using common units of area, cm² and thickness expressed in Haunsfield's units (HU), surrounding tissues excepted, regardless of their volume and thickness characteristics.;EFFECT: improved evaluation accuracy.;2 ex, 5 dwg
