FIELD: physics; engineering procedures.;SUBSTANCE: reflow fusion unit contains heater of joint protection, set of heating elements which can separately heat up set of protective sleeves at various heating time using separate ON or OFF commutators. The unit can be also provided with detector section intended for detection whether heating element has present or does not have protective sleeve and for commutator ON/OFF. Method contains the following stages: fibre reflow fusion, coating of reflow fused fibre areas with protective sleeves, switching on of the first heater for the first time period to start thermal compression of the first protective sleeve, switching on of the second heater for the second time period to start thermal compression of the second protective sleeve.;EFFECT: effective process of thermal protection without idle time between reflow fusion and protection and possibility to prevent human error.;21 cl, 18 dwg
