Rooibos extract, prepared from unfermented rooibos raw material by means of a solvent extraction, comprises increased aspalathin content of at least 5 wt.%. Independent claims are included for: (A) a cosmetic agent comprising 0.01-10 wt.% of the extract; and (B) preparation of the extract.
